I have just started working with these guys and I have to say I am thankful for their commitment to the racing and adaptive motorsport community. We are working towards an event that hopefully becomes an annual occurrence. Down to Earth people and willing to go the extra mile to help others, they truly give back to their community.
These folks are at the cutting edge of research and development for adaptive racing. They have a car that can be driven without the use of a person's hands or feet, completely controlled by the user's head movements and breathing. They also have an adaptive Pikes Peak car that utilizes hand controls. Please check out their site for videos and features from Nascar as well as their drivers.
Needless to say, these guys save lives. I was an inpatient here in 2002 after my spinal cord injury and they were instrumental in my desire to help others. They have several programs that help the disabled community get back to living. Whether you are newly injured or a seasoned pro at wheelchair life, these guys can help you immensely.
